Great Baby Einstein Birthday Party Ideas

Baby Einstein birthday party theme has become extremely popular.

Invite little "wunderkinds" as well as their parents to have a fantastic time at your Baby Einstein Party!

Resources:

  • Party Supplies
  • Free Printable Invitations

  • Invitations

Baby Einstein Logo You can either purchase or make your Baby Einstein party invitations yourself. If you would like to create your own invitations, then you have several options.

First, you can print your child's picture on the front of white invitation cards. Then write your party details on the inside and decorate the invitations with Baby Einstein stickers.

As a slight variation, you can download and print images of Baby Einstein characters on the front of the cards. Next, you can "paste" the birthday child's picture in the middle of the "group photo", as if your child is surrounded by theme characters.

Lastly, you can print your Baby Einstein birthday party details on the back of coloring pages. Then mail the invitations to your guests. Kids' parents get to read party details, and their children get to color the pages afterwards.

    Decorations

Red, blue, yellow and green are best colors to use for decorating your Baby Einstein birthday party area. Hang balloons and streamers in those colors. Play Baby Einstein theme music in the background.

Download and enlarge images of Baby Einstein characters. Then laminate and tape them to the fence to mark your party spot. Place small footprint cutouts on the driveway leading to your front door. Place pinwheels along the walkway in your yard. Tie balloons to the mailbox and hang a sign that says "Welcome to (your child's name) Baby Einstein Birthday Party!"

Keep decorations inside your house simple: just spread out theme toys, books and puppets around the room. (Make sure that you don't have any small items on the floor that the kids might swallow.) Hang Baby Einstein poster and a personalized "Happy Birthday" banner on the wall.

Cover your Baby Einstein birthday party table with a theme cloth. Have Baby Einstein Mylar balloon for a centerpiece. Make placemats by laminating pictures of the birthday child. Tie colorful helium balloons to the backs of the chairs.

    Guest Arrival and Introductory Activities

*Animal Transformations: As the kids arrive, turn them into Baby Einstein animals (goat, cat, dog, lion, etc.) by adding whiskers to cheeks and dots to their noses with face paint or eyeliner pencil.

*Baby Einstein Coloring Pages: Provide guests with crayons and markers, and have them color pages of theme activity books while waiting for other children to arrive.

*Noah's Parade: Put on some lively music (by Beethoven, Mozart or Bach) after all the kids have arrived. Pick one person to be Noah, and invite everyone else to be Noah's animals in a "human" train that moves from room to room in time to the music.

Encourage Noah to make creative moves that the rest of the line can follow (crawling, hopping, twirling, jumping, rolling on the ground, etc). Pick somebody else to play Noah every couple of minutes. Play until kids are ready for a new activity.

    Favors

For your Baby Einstein birthday party favors, hand out such items as maracas, bean bags, mini rubber duckies, Baby Einstein sticker sheets and blowouts.

    Baby Einstein Birthday Party Games

*Pin the Tail on the Donkey: You can purchase a game kit for this classic activity or make your own.

If you choose to make your own, then draw a picture of a donkey on a large piece of poster board. Cut tail shapes out of construction paper for each guest.

Put each child's name on a tail. Add a strip of double-sided tape to the back, and hand guests their tail when it's their turn.

Mount the poster on the wall at kids' eye level.

Blindfold children one by one (don't force someone if they don't want to be blindfolded), and gently spin them around. Direct each player toward the donkey, and invite him or her to tape the tail where it belongs.

*Act Like an Animal: Have the guests sit in a circle. Next, have the parents act out an animal's movements. Ask the kids to guess the animal.

*Duck Pond: You'll need waterproof marker, rubber or plastic ducks (1 per guest), prizes in separate paper bags, plastic tub or kiddie pool filled with water, and colander with handle.

Using a marker, draw a different number on the bottom of each duck. Then write matching numbers on each prize bag. Fill the tub with water. Let the kids take turns scooping out a duck using the colander. Match the duck's number to a bag's number for the child's prize.

*Bubbly Fun: Purchase a bunch of no-spill bubble tumblers for the Baby Einstein birthday party. Let the kids blow away to their heart's content.

*Musical Baby Einstein Animal: Sit everyone in a circle, and put on music. Invite your Baby Einstein birthday party guests to pass a stuffed animal around while music plays. When music stops, the player holding the animal wins a treat.

Continue playing until everyone has won a prize, or invite kids who have already won to give their 2nd prize to someone who hasn't yet. (Prepare them for this by explaining beforehand.)

*Baby Ball Toss: Tape pictures of Baby Einstein characters on the sides of several boxes. Have the kids toss tennis balls inside those boxes from a distance. (If the kids at your party are really young, have them walk up to boxes and put the balls in.)

*Baby Food Wonder (for adults and older kids): You'll need 5 to 10 jars of baby food (in different flavors), paper, spoons, scissors, markers and tape.

Cover the baby food labels with paper, and number the jars. Give each adult a pen, spoon and paper. Invite everyone to taste a little from each jar and write down their guesses as to what the correct flavors are. The person with the most correct guesses wins.

*Story Time: Select a picture book and sit everyone together to hear the tale. Toddlers may not understand the words, but they'll enjoy looking at the pictures.

    Food and Drink

    Baby Einstein Birthday Cake:

*Baby Einstein Cake: Bake a round or a rectangular cake. Print an image of Baby Einstein character (goat, lion, hippo, etc.) off the computer and place it on the cake. Then outline the image with a toothpick. Finally, ice various portions of the cake with butter cream icing using the picture as a guide.

As a variation, you can decorate the cake with Baby Einstein cake toppers (available at party stores).

Baby Einstein Birthday Party Food Ideas:

*Animal Sandwiches: Prepare peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. (Double-check with parents to make sure that no one in your Baby Einstein birthday party group has any allergies.) Use a cookie cutter or butter knife to cut sandwiches into animal shapes (cat, dog, turtle, duck, etc.), and then serve.

*Brainy Banana Pops: For this Baby Einstein party food recipe, you'll need bananas, PopsicleŽ sticks, plastic freezer bags, yogurt or warm chocolate sauce.

Peel the bananas and cut them in half across the middle. Push a Popsicle stick through the flat end, until it's inserted at least half-way through each banana. Place them in freezer bags until party time. Dip frozen banana pops into yogurt or chocolate sauce and serve.

*Sea-n-Cheese: Boil 16-oz sea shell pasta in pot for five minutes. Then drain, and put it in baking dish. Whisk together 2 eggs and 2 cups of milk. Add 2 tbsp melted butter and 2 1/2 cups shredded cheese to egg mixture, then mix well.

Pour the mixture over the pasta. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 30-40 minutes, or until the top turns brown. (Cover with foil for last 10 minutes to avoid scorching.)

*Turtle Fruit Sundaes: For this Baby Einstein party recipe, you'll need sliced fruit (kiwi, berries, bananas, peaches, etc.), whipped cream, chocolate and caramel, and maraschino cherries.

Pour sliced fruit into separate bowls or sundae glasses. Add a couple of dollops of whipped cream to each. Drizzle with chocolate and caramel (warmed separately in a microwave). Finally, top with maraschino cherries.

*Pup Cakes: Bake cupcakes according to cupcake mix directions. When cool, frost with bright colors that match your partyware. Then use frosting and decorator gel to draw puppy faces on top of cupcakes.

*Miniature Pizzas: Prepare and cut your pizza into small bite-size pieces for kids to munch on.

*Jell-OŽ Fun: Prepare gelatin according to package direction and serve to kids.

    *Baby Cereal
    *Goldfish Crackers
    *Ice Cream

Baby Einstein Birthday Party Drink Ideas:

*Little Smoothies: For this Baby Einstein birthday party drink, you'll need 6 fresh strawberries (or 1 cup frozen), 1 sliced banana, 1 cup vanilla yogurt, 1 cup regular or almond milk.

For each serving, place all ingredients in a blender, and whirl until smooth and frothy. Serve in cups, and garnish each with a strawberry on the rim.

    *Chocolate Milk
    *Freshly-Squeezed Juice
