Invitations
Create casino party invitations in shapes of playing cards. Download and enlarge face images of kings and queens in various card suits. Then print those images on white construction paper. Write party information on the blank side of the cards. (Kings will adorn the invitations sent out to the guys, and queens will be on the invites sent to the girls.)
Your invitation wording can start with "Feeling Lucky?" And then add "Join us for a night of friendly gambling." Then place invitations in envelopes and put poker chips in each one.
As a variation, you can invite your guests via email. In this case, it's a good idea to write your e-mail message using fun black font on bright red background.
Casino theme party works well if you have 15-20 guests in attendance.
Decorations
Red, black, silver and gold are perfect colors for casino theme decorations.
Try to recreate real casino experience. Decorate the front entrance of your house with neon lights. For authenticity, post a helper near the front door dressed as a security guard. Get him to check IDs of your guests as they arrive to the party.
Set up a "casino" in your living room. Line the area with casino theme posters and art. Mount slot machine scene setters on the walls. Hang red and black balloons all around the room.
Think about card games and activities that you'll have at your party. Then set up tables and chairs. Use a large table for poker, long table for craps, and so on. (Take a look at images of real card tables online to create the proper setting.) Cover the tables with black, green, or silver tablecloths.
Purchase new decks of cards along with poker style chips. Hang a large poster explaining different poker hands on the wall near the poker table.

Guidelines and Tips
- Before you start gambling, explain the rules of each card game to the guests. Run several hands to demonstrate how the game is played. (Make sure you know the rules yourself. You can easily find the descriptions online.)
- To make sure everyone is having a good time, keep the stakes low.
- Give play money to players in chips, and invite them to take part in various games at your casino.
- Have experienced gamblers demonstrate how to deal properly. When players run short on money, they can deal a game and earn some of their money back. That way everyone stays in the game, and you never run out of dealers, too. (Establish a dollar amount for dealing cards at each game.)
- Have a PlayStation or other alternate activity for those who get tired of gambling.
