Cheetah Girls Party Ideas

Cheetah Girls party theme is ideal for young stylish divas. Use the following ideas to plan a cool 'glam and glitter' kind of a party. The girls will absolutely love it!

  • Invitations

Create your Cheetah Girls party invites out of pink card stock. Write "Girl Power" on the front of the cards. Inside the cards, write "Dear (guest's name), we believe you've got what it takes to be a Cheetah Girl. That's why we invite you to (birthday girl's name) Diva Birthday Party!" Finish off by adding some glitter and tying curly ribbons to the invitations.

Alternatively, print a group photo of Cheetah girls on the front of the cards. Write your party details using a gel pan. Then cut some fashion items (purses, high-heel boots, animal print dresses, jewelry, etc.) and glue them on the inside and backside of the invites. Use a small animal print sticker to seal the envelopes.

Ask the girls to wear stylish clothes to the party.

    Decorations

Before you start decorating, mentally plan out where and what kind of Cheetah Girls party decorations you'll use. Choose pink, silver, white and baby blue colors. Try to use as many items that have animal prints on them as you can.

Tie balloons and paper streamers in front of the house to mark the party spot. Attach some large ribbons to bushes, trees, or anything else surrounding your walkway. Mount a sign that reads "Cheetah Girl Auditions This Way" with an arrow pointing to the party entrance.

Cut out silver and pink stars. Hang them from the ceiling on a fishing line. Or, use clear CDs instead. When you hang the CDs from the ceiling, they will give disco ball lighting effect. Put up theme posters or pictures of characters on the wall.

If you plan on having any "performance" activities, then design a stage by using white sheets or curtains for a backdrop. Outline the "stage" with streamers or white Christmas lights.

Sprinkle confetti all around the party table. Cut out and laminate star shapes, and have them for placemats at each setting. Tie several pink balloons to a purse and place it in the middle of the table for a centerpiece. Play Cheetah Girls songs.

    Guest Arrival and Introductory Activities

*Guess How Many: Fill a glass cookie jar with some pink or silver candy: jelly beans, M&Ms, Hershey Kisses, etc. Get the guests to guess the amount of candy in the jar. The person, who guesses the closest to the actual number, gets a jar full of candy.

*Artist Transformations: Set up a table where the guests will have their makeovers. Put some make up on the girls as they arrive. Give out some fashionable accessories: sun glasses, pink bows, animal print necklaces or bracelets, and so forth.

*Jewelry Decoration Station: There are many items the girls can decorate: from sandals to sun glasses. But I especially like this bracelet decoration kit. The girls can take their creations home as souvenirs...

    Favors

For Diva birthday party favors, have such items as glitter bracelets, high-heel shoe key chains, star rings, sticker sheets, removable tattoos, heart shaped candies, and so on.

    Cheetah Girls Party Games

*Ready for Prime Time?: Play Cheetah Girl theme music. Have 2 helpers hold a limbo stick as the girls try to go under it. If a player bumps the stick or touches the ground with anything but the feet -- she goes out of the game and cheers for other participants on the sidelines. Lower the stick each round, the last person left is the winner!

*Name That Tune: Play several popular music hits in a row. Get the girls to quietly write down the names of the songs and performers on a piece of paper. At the end of the game, give 1 point each for a song and a performer. Whoever gets the most points, wins.

*Shop Till You Drop: Before the party, write names of clothing items (e.g. purse, shoes, capris, tunic, etc.) on pieces of paper. On one of the paper pieces draw a large star. Blow up balloons (approximately 2-4 balloons per guest), and insert paper pieces inside the balloons (one per balloon). Place the inflated balloons inside large garbage bags.

At game time, get the girls to find a "Star" note by sitting on (not stomping) and popping the balloons. Release the balloons, and have the girls have a great time looking for the Star. Whoever finds it, receives a small prize.

*Fashion Relay: Split the group into 2 equal-numbered teams. Have the girls form 2 lines. Place several fashionable accessories across each line on the other side of the area, so the number of items matches the number of girls. Hand a purse to the first player on each team.

On the command "Go," the starting racers should run to the other side with their purses, place one item in the purse, and run back. Then they pass the purse to the next person who does the same and so on. The team to get all the fashion items and cross the finish line first -- wins!

*Spa Retreat: Set up tubs with water and hand towels on the table. Invite the girls to get their nails done.

Offer cucumber slices for "facials", and provide cleansers, toners, and moisturizers. Light scented candles for a spa atmosphere. Ask for help from other moms, if you're entertaining a younger group of girls.

Cheetah Girls *The Rehearsal: Before the party, get popular dance song CDs.

Divide the group into teams of 4. (Do it in a way that makes the dancing/singing competition fair.) Have each team pick a song they know and like the most. Give them 15-20 minutes to prepare choreographed dance moves, as well as singing. Tell them that choreography is more important. When the time is up move on to the next activity...

*Cheetah Girl Auditions: This is show time! Invite each group to show what they've got. Put on a song that they've picked. Invite them to dance and lip sing. Have a panel of judges to evaluate their dancing and singing. Being in sync is most important for this competition.

Have prizes for each group. You can have awards for best choreography, best attitude, most stylish or outrageous group, and so on.

*Watch the Show: At the end of the party, invite the girls to watch an episode from the Cheetah Girls movie.

    Food and Drink

    Cheetah Girls Birthday Party Cake:

*Girl Power Cake: Bake a regular sheet cake. Then outline a star shape on the cake, and carve it out. Frost the cake pink, and write "Girl Power" in the middle of it.

    Cheetah Girls Party Food Ideas:

*Glam Sandwiches: prepare mini size sandwiches
*Posh Pizzas (cut in small star shapes)
*Apple Slices served with caramel dip
*Fruit Tray: slice fruit and serve it on a pretty tray with cheese
*Fancy Parfaits: Layer yogurt, piece of fruit and granola in plastic cups. Repeat a couple of times. Top with whip cream and serve.

*Pink Popcorn: Boil 1 cup corn syrup, 2 cups sugar, and 2/3 cups margarine for 3 min. Add and stir in 2 packs of red (or pink) powder drink mix and 1 tsp soda. Pour over 6 quarts of popcorn. Bake at 225°F for 45 minutes stirring regularly. Break up immediately after removing from the oven.

    Cheetah Girls Party Drink Ideas:

*Bubbly Apple Drink: Mix apple juice with ginger ale or club soda.
    *Grape Juice
    *Pink Lemonade
