Invitations
Use your creativity when designing girls night out invitations.
Cut out pictures of purses, shoes, clothes, make-up accessories, etc. out of fashion magazines. Use basic white invitation cards and write your party information, then glue the pictures on the cards in a form of collage.
On the front of the cards you can write "For Girls Only!" Then write "Join us for a Girls Night out Party!" with details of the event.
As a variation, you can make a collage using pictures of the guests. This would make a nice memento for months to come!
If you plan on having a sleepover, then let the girls know so that they can prepare for it.
Decorations
Decorate your girls night out party area with balloons and streamers. Hang celebrity and movie posters on the wall. Play music from popular albums. Place bean bag chairs or pillows around the room for the guests to sit on. Spread out some style accessories: nail polish, make-up, combs, brushes, and so forth. Have some candles around the room to light later for an intimate atmosphere.
Cover the party table with a silver cover. Place name cards at each setting to let the guests know where they can seat. Or, if you choose you can skip the party table and serve lots of finger food. That way the guests would feel more comfortable moving around and eating on paper plates.
Favors
Your girls night out party favors can include: scrapbooks, fashion accessories, nail polish, combs, lip-gloss, candy, mascara, and so on.
Girls Night Out Party Games
*Design Your Own Bracelets: Get a bracelet making kit for each guest. Have the girls design their bracelets that they can take home as a memento from the party.
As a variation, have doughnut-shaped cereal and candy (e.g. Cheerios, lifesavers, gummy rings, etc.) in bowls. Hand out pieces of string, and have the girls create their own edible bracelets.
*Girls-Only Trivia: Invite your guests to participate in a trivia, where they have to guess cosmetics or fashion brands, lines from teenage movies, and so on. Plus you can ask them questions about pop culture, celebrities, etc.
Or have a fashion version of "Price is Right" where you demonstrate a fashion item or accessory, and have the participants try to guess what the item is worth.
*Swap Clothes: Tell your friends to bring 1 or 2 outfits they would like to get rid of. Set up a changing area with a screen and a large mirror, where the girls can try on and pick the clothes they like. So each girl goes home with one or two new pieces of clothes.
To settle arguments about who gets to keep a particular item, the girls must put it on and model in front of everyone. Let the audience decide who the outfit suits best.
*Charades: Play a fun game of charades.
*Beauty Parlor: Take your guests to a beauty salon to get their facials, manicures and pedicures done. You can also set up the 'beauty parlor' at your house and ask one of your female relatives or friends to help out.
*Movie Time: Go to a movie theater as a group and catch one of the latest movies. Or, rent and watch a movie at home. Here are a few good ones for the girls night out party: Clueless, Princess Diaries, Mean Girls, High School Musical, etc.
If you wish, you can invite your close friends to stay for a sleepover.
