Invitations
There are several options for creating Hannah Montana birthday party invitations.
First, you can take a picture of your daughter wearing a pop star costume and holding a toy microphone. Next, you can print a copy of that picture on the front of the cards.
Write "Come Party with Hannah Montana!" on the front of the invites. Then include the rest of the party information inside.
Second, you can make invitations look like backstage concert passes. In this case, the guests must bring their passes to the party. Hannah Montana's bodyguard (father of the birthday girl) will check their pass at the entrance to the party. Tip: tell the guests to dress like pop stars.
As a variation, your invitations can look like concert tickets with "Sold Out" or "Admit One" written on them. Place the "tickets" inside envelopes along with glitter stars or shiny confetti.
Lastly, you can cut out star shapes out of silver, purple or turquoise card stock. Decorate one side of the stars with stickers, drawings, etc. And write your party information on the other side.
Decorations
Make your Hannah Montana birthday party decorations cool and glamorous. Use such colors as silver, blue, teal, limey green and purple. Hang balloons and paper streamers around the scene. Play tunes from the show.
Roll out a long red material ("red carpet") leading to the front door. Stick a few colorful pinwheels in the ground on both sides of the driveway. Post a sign that says "Seaview Middle School" near the entrance.
Hang clear CDs on fishing lines from the ceiling inside the house. Hang Hannah Montana and Mylie Cyrus posters on the wall. Spread toy (or inflatable) guitars and microphones around the scene.
Hannah loves to surf, so you can create a beach atmosphere on one side of the party room. Have a palm tree standee (or a poster) and a surfboard in the area.
You can easily design a stage. Create a backdrop by draping a large white sheet on the wall. Create Hannah Montana logo and tape it in the middle. Outline the edges with white Christmas lights. Tie silver balloons on both sides of the stage.
Cover the party table with blue tablecloth. Spread out some silver glitter or confetti. Place an inflatable guitar or image of Hannah Montana in the middle of the table for a centerpiece.
Guest Arrival and Introductory Activities
*Makeup Station: Turn the girls into pop stars. Invite them to put on some makeup and lip gloss. Get their hair streaked using a streak kit (available at most party stores), nails manicured and polished.
*Watch the Show: Invite the kids to watch a short Hannah Montana episode while you're attending to the arriving guests.
*Popstar Photo Shoot: Take a group picture of all the girls after they had their makeovers. If you have boys in attendance, don't forget to include them as well.
Favors
For Hannah Montana birthday party favors, offer such items as lip gloss, body glitter, theme stickers and buttons, star shaped sunglasses, guitar keychains, daisy rings, chocolate candy bars, mini totes, Pop Rocks candy, feather pens, and so on.
Hannah Montana Party Games
*Find Mylie: Before the party, print pictures of Mylie as Hannah Montana and one picture as herself -- Mylie Cyrus. Scatter the pictures around the party area.
Get the children to track all the pictures and identify the "real" Mylie. Whoever manages to do that first, wins!
*Pass the Mic: Have the kids sit in a circle. Play a popular hit song, and have them pass a toy microphone around while the music is playing.
Mute the song periodically. The person holding the microphone at that time must finish the lyrics of the song. It's a great game for older children -- they have to pay close attention to the lyrics.
*Dress up Relay: Split the group into 2 teams. Give each team a bag filled with oversize clothes, necklaces, bracelets, etc.
At the start of the race, the first players from each team must put on all the clothes. Then they must race to the other side of the play area and back, remove the items, and pass them to the next person in line.
The game continues in this fashion until all the children on each team complete their relay leg. The team to cross the finish line first -- wins!
*Guess That Tune: Play several popular songs in a row, and get the kids to guess the performer and the name of the song. Have the children write down titles on pieces of paper, and award a point for each correct guess.
*Star Shades: Invite the girls to decorate plastic sunglasses with shiny glitter, beads, and so on.
*Pin the Microphone on Hannah Montana: Prepare construction paper microphones and put guests' initials on them. Mount Hannah Montana poster on the wall.
To play: blindfold the kids one at a time, and get them to tape their microphones as close to Hannah's hand as they can.
*Surf's Up: For this Hannah Montana birthday party activity, you'll need a surfboard set flat on the ground. Have one of the kids to stand on it pretending to surf. Other players sit around the board and move it trying to rock her or him off.
*Hannah Montana Quiz: Test how well your guests know the main character and her friends. Quiz them by asking questions about the characters from the show.
For example, you can ask "Where is Hannah Montana from?," "Who is her best friend?," "What school does she go to?", etc.
*Do the Karaoke: Put on some theme tunes, and have your guests dance and sing along.
*Guitar Pinata: Get a theme pinata from a party outlet. Have the kids take their best shot at breaking the pinata with a bat.
Food and Drink
Hannah Montana Birthday Cakes:
*Guitar Cake: Bake two 9x13" cakes. Let the cakes cool. Place one cake on top of the other, and then carve a guitar shape with a sharp knife.
Frost the cake in color of your choice. Then add guitar details (headstock, strings, sound hole, etc.) with cake icing tubes.
*Microphone Cake: Bake 1 rectangular and 1 round cake.
Cut a narrow piece from a rectangular cake and frost it with chocolate frosting. This will be a microphone handle. Place a black licorice string at the bottom of the handle to make a microphone cord.
Frost the round cake with white frosting, sprinkle some blue colored sugar, and place the round cake at the top of the "handle." Hannah Montana Birthday Party Food Ideas:
*Star Pizzas: First, cut your pizza in triangular slices. Next arrange pizza slices on a platter in a star shape.
*Chips 'n Dip *"Surf Shop" Tacos *Pretzels *Rice Crispies (cut in star shapes) *Popcorn (served in "concert" containers - available from a party store) *Cookies (in music note shapes) *Ice Cream Sundaes Hannah Montana Birthday Party Drink Ideas:
