Healthy Party Food

by Alixis
(Bristol, Pa)

What are some healthy food items for a kid's party?

Hi Alixis,

You can have a lot of options for a healthy party food items.

My favorite ones are healthy sandwiches and wraps.

You can get sprouted wheat tortillas made by Alvarado Street Bakery. Spread them with almond butter and add vegetables of your choice: tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots, etc. They're really yummy, and kids do love them!

Another thing you can do is get whole wheat bread. Use avocado for spread. Then add tomatoes and other vegetables for fillings.

But other than those two options, you can do a lot of things.

Use abundance of vegetables with healthy dips like humus, fruit salads, freshly-made juices and healthy smoothies.

For other ideas, check our our healthy recipes section.

One thing to keep in mind is that not every child would want to eat healthy at a birthday party. So have some healthy foods, and some "burger and fries" type options, too.
