Cake Submitted by Melodee K. from Girard, Kansas.

Kim Possible Cake

I used Duncan Hines cake mix and made a half chocolate half white 12"x18" cake for the bottom. I frosted the sides white using buttercream frosting (1 c. Crisco, 1/2 cup water, 1 t. meringue powder, 2 lbs. sifter powder sugar, 1 t. clear vanilla, 1 t. butter flavoring. Beat on high for 1 minute.)

On the front side of the cake I wrote "Cheerleader by Day..." on the back of the cake it had "Crime Stopper by Night." On both ends, it said "Happy Birthday Ilyanna." I frosted the top of the cake green and trimmed it with Wilton tip #233 to make grass.

In the center of the cake I put dowels to support the next cake. I also had one larger dowel that went through the cardboard plate and up into the next cake.

The school/Drakken's Lair was made with the stand up house cake pan. I placed it on a wrapped cardboard plate. I decorated the front red and white to resemble a school (tip #46 flat side). I cut and frosted a graham cracker to put on top for the school bell. The roof was also made with tip #46 ridged side up.

On the back of the house, I decorated as Drakken's Lair by making a rock castle (tip #12). I made a turret by using a cut paper towel tube. I frosted it with the buttercream frosting along with the cake. I had Kim Possible, Shego and Drakken ornaments for decorations on the "castle side". I used the cheerleader Kim, Rufus, and Ron to decorate the school side.

The evergreen tree was made with royal icing and a tip #18 star on a tree former cone. They can also be made on a wax paper ice cream sugar cone. Allow to dry 2-3 days and place on cake.
