Pig Crafts for Kids

If you can't find pig theme related party ideas, here are 2 pig crafts that you can use at your event. They are quite unique - children will be very delighted to participate in them!

Materials Needed:

  • 4 thread spools
  • Pink paint
  • Plastic water bottle and cap
  • Hot glue gun
  • Pink felt
  • 2 matching buttons
  • Craft knife
  • Pink pipe cleaner

    Piggy Bank:

Pig Crafts Before the party, begin by having your child paint the thread spools pink. At party time, the kids can glue them to the bottle, positioning them for legs (as shown on the photo). Make the ears next, cutting a pair of 3-inch-wide triangles out of the felt. Fold the base of each triangle in half and glue the lower edges together.

Use paper clips to secure them while drying. Trim the felt into ear shapes and glue them to the bottle. Glue on the button eyes. Use the craft knife (parent's job only) to poke a small hole in the bottle for the pipe cleaner tail. Cut a slot in the top, through which kids can feed coins to the pig.

    Pig Pencil Holder:

Follow the same instructions as for the Piggy Bank, but instead of a slot for coins, use the craft knife (or a wood-burning tool, if you have one) to make holes in its back for pencils.
