Sparkly Snowflakes Winter Craft

Your party guests will be thrilled with this winter craft project. They will create their own glittering, white, geometric snowflakes to take home after the party!

Materials Needed:

  • Lightweight typing paper
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Lightweight string
  • Glue stick
  • Glitter

    1. Fold a piece of typing paper in half, with the long edges together. Unfold the paper and cut along the fold line.

    2. Starting at the short end, fold the paper like a fan every 3/4 inch, keeping the edges even.

    3. Draw oval, triangle, and similar patterns on both ends of the paper, and cut them out as shown. (Be sure that both sides of paper have some of the design on a fold, or your snowflake will fall apart.)

    4. Cut out the center notch. The notch lets the snowflake open and glue easily. Tie a piece of string around the notch.

    5. Fold the paper ends together and glue. Trim the string or use it to hang the snowflake. Glue glitter to the snowflake edges or on the front of the snowflake.
